Video Elements - We accept all formats, however for standard definition DVD and blu-ray content best results are from a Digital Betacam Master. Some analog formats have a set-up charge. For Blu-ray HD content we accept HD-D5, HDCAM, HDCAM SR, HDV tape or hard drives with uncompressed content.
Audio Elements - All audio must be synched with the video. If sent seperately as in the case of 5.1 audio or directors commentary, the time code must match the picture elemet provided. If your picture master is Digital Betacam, you may provide the main audio on channel 1+2, and your commentary on 3+4 to insure perfect synch. DA-88 cassettes must have timecode that matches the Digital Betacam picture master.
Menu Creation Information - Provide menus as Photoshop files or on video cassette. Create menus for 4:3 NTSC at 720x540 -- then squeeze to 720x480. You may provide 720x540 unflattenned Photoshop files. However, motion menus must be squeezed. Resolution must be at least 72. For 16x9 NTSC start with 960x540 to 864x480. delive 720x480 anamorphic. For HD / Blu-ray file sizes are 1920x1080.
A simple way to save QuickTimes useing Apple QuickTime Pro:
1) Export as QuickTime Movie NTSC 8 bit 720x480 (or other if applicable).
2) Video Compression = NONE (or ANIMATION)
3) Video Depth = Millions of Colors +
4) Video Quality = BEST 5) Video Frame Rate = 29.97 (or other if applicable ie. PAL)
6) Audio Format = Uncompressed
7) Audio Compressor = NONE
8) Audio Sample Rate = 48 kHz
9) Audio Sample Saize = 16 bit
10) Audio Chanels = 2 (STEREO)
Subtitles and Captions - Closed captions for the hearing impared must be Line 21 ".scc" files. Subtitles must be ".son" bitmap or ".stl" files. All captions and subtitle files must be synched to the same timecode as the picture (video) master.
